MICRON PORTABLE ETCHING PRESS
The smallest etching press in our range is the unique Micron Portable Etching Press - a portable press ideal for the traveling printmaker/teacher, or for artists with limited studio space.
As with all Mitomel Printmaking presses, the Micron is of professional studio quality, it is capable of editions, and excels with both intaglio and relief printmaking. It is geared, lightweight (typically around 20kg) and is highly portable. The bed width of each Micron press is 12 inches (or 30cm - signified by the model number RM1230). The Micron also offers a fully customizable bed length, tailored within a tolerable range of around 45cm to 60cm to suit an artist’s specific requirements, based on studio space, typical print dimensions, and plans for portability. Additionally, many artists choose to purchase a second, easily interchangeable bed, using the shortest one for traveling, and keeping a longer one for when the press is set up longer term in a studio location.
